Short post today. I’ve got the batter for 16 loaves of ciabatta fermenting away in the kitchen. Mixing bowls, stock pots, even the shell to the salad spinner are all pressed into service to hold all this dough. This afternoon I try to figure out how to bake 16 loaves consecutively using two small ovens. And this the day after San Diego posted its hottest day on record, 100 degrees! This weekend I’ll post pictures of the outcome, hopefully a stack of beautifully browned ciabatta, and not a picture of me with my head in the oven.
Wow what a challenge! Good eats thought.
Can’t wait to hear how it all comes out! With that many loaves baking I wouldn’t be surprised if I could smell it all the way over to Phoenix!
Good grief! Why is it so hot there now??? Good luck with all that bread. You’ll have the neighbors arriving in droves from the delicious smells wafting around the neighborhood.
