Crows, Spiders, and Bears

Let’s start with the crow.  I really, really wanted a moody picture of a crow eating trash on the sidewalk.  I’d put it in black and white, scratch it up a bit, maybe even tilt the image.  You know, real avant garde stuff.  Then as my phone was trying to figure out how to open its lens cap, or align the imaging crystals, or whatever the hell takes TEN SECONDS when action is happening, there was an apologetic beep sound just as the crow flew away.  But I think it’s still artistic in its own way.  Call this a North Park tableau.

Crow flying away

The crow is fleeing the urban fabric with food that’s…um…sustenance for a new generation of suburban flight which represents…ah…yeah.  Reads like a melodramatic high school English paper.  But I really liked that crow.

Spiders and bears?  Yes.  This weekend Number Two told me that he was going to be a cheese spider and I was a taco bear.  I don’t take this responsibility lightly, I’ll have you know.  For a taco bear to spill his shredded cheese or drip his salsa is most unseemly.  I don’t know what a cheese spider does but it’s either the most horrifying thing found in a dark dairy basement or a new crust type at Pizza Hut.

And yes, the blog is back, I should be writing more and I promise I’ll get a good picture of a crow.  And a taco bear.

Hey Taco Bear! Are you perhaps related to Turtle Baby?
