I’m Waiting…

We all have to wait.  There’s a spectrum of patience, from Indian bureaucracy at the top to Manhattan driver at the bottom.  I can be patient when I know it’s truly out of my hands, and horribly impatient when it’s because the kids are lollygagging, or looking at a bird, or getting distracted by an ear vacuum, or thinking they can do a craft project in the five minutes before we have to leave for school.  I try to be calm but…COME ON!!!  MOVE!!!  MUSH!!!  I get the sense that The Boy is much calmer.  At three years old he can sit in a doctor’s office and…wait.  I need to teach him the lotus position.
