Bedtime Stories My Daughter Hates, Pt. 2

After books are read and the lights are out, my daughter often asks for one quick story.  Most times she wishes she’d never asked.  Please enjoy the following story and NO COMPLAINTS!

Once upon a time there was a blue bowl of water.  Its name was Blue.  Inside that bowl of water was another bowl of water.  Inside that bowl of water was another bowl of water.  And do you know what was inside that bowl of water?  Another bowl of water.  Its name was Blue, just like the first bowl, but they didn’t know each other!

THE END

There, did you enjoy the story?  Now go to bed.

Writer, architect, father, husband.

5 stars for creativity! Knock-knock. Who’s there? Window. Window who? Door. Door who. Ceiling the ceiling man. Now THERE’S a thought provoker!

  2. psoutowood says:

I can’t compete with the ceiling man joke, only to flatter with weak imitation. It is an EPIC joke.

  3. Julio Ibanez says:

Wow! That was like “Inception” for kids! Bravo!

  4. we tell Super Joseph stories. “One day Super Joseph went to school, played with his friends, followed directions, and had lots of fun. Then he came home, ate dinner, picked up his toys, and went to bed. Yay super joseph.” Good night.

Ha! I love Super Joseph! This sounds like just the kind of story that would make Child Harbat scowl and say, “That’s not a REAL story! Humph!”
