Nature’s Bountiful Bounty

Every spring, farmers and gardeners around the world bear witness to the miracle of life.  Green shoots, nourished by Mother Earth, burst forth in an unbridled celebration of growth.  Golden sunlight bathes plants as they recreate a drama that has unfolded for millennia.  Life begets life, tender care of the vegetable world yields sustenance and lo the world turns.  When the garden is full and ripe, we reach with soil-caked hands into the leafy abundance, deliver the mature fruit of our labors, and tilt back our heads to sing a hosanna to the heavens that sounds something like this:

“What the hell are we going to do with all this zucchini?”

Please! No more!

Today is Friday and that means a two new chapters are up on the writing page.  Enjoy your weekend.  I’ll be figuring out how to incorporate zucchini into every…single…meal.
