There’s a homemade wooden boat in the alley a few doors down from my office. It is fully rigged, sails down, and sitting on a trailer. Just to get it rigged must’ve been no small feat, considering all the power lines crisscrossing the narrow alley. I would understand if it was rigged one afternoon for a test then taken down. But no, it has been like this all week. It puts me in mind of a dog sitting by the front door, leash in his mouth.
